  • Oh man Early Bird, I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you sooner! It's actually been a while since I've been on VFTT. Thanks so much for the kind words, I appreciate that. It's been a great journey for us and I hope Janelle will carry some of that love of nature with her down the road, even when she gets to be a teen, LOL! Anyway, I hope you got the book and enjoyed it. We're on tour now all over New England, perhaps we'll get to meet you at an event? Take care!

Thanks for the Nashua River access info! Interestingly, I think I may have canoed there with kids when I was working at Merrimack River Watershed Council 8 or 9 years ago. We only did it once, but it sounds very familiar. I don't think it will be hard for me to find the put-in. Nashua is only 30 minutes from where I am for 4 days out of the week and it sounds like a nice excursion. Thanks again!
    I'm trying a new greenie.

Hey Early Bird! I saw your trip report. We met on Isolation 2/26/12. It was great to meet and hike with you. I look forward to another hike soon!

I just saw your post, before I noticed my notification. I think I recognized Laurie as someone I'd seen before but couldn't place her. I was amazed at how many people were out there as well. I chatted with 4 people in 3 different groups that I'd previously hiked with and didn't know would be there. That doesn't even happen to me in town!
I guess we passed you near the summit of Passaconaway, but I did not recognize you. We were with Paradox.
Yay! Glad you were able to get on the Caps! Thanks for the trail info, too. And welcome to the 40-club. ;)
Thanks Millie! It was a great day and we all had a blast. There were many that couldn't join us yesterday due to it being Easter Sunday but everyone was still with us in spirit, as you were. Peeps are the best!!! :)

Hi there. I hiked with you once in the winter (Carters?) and enjoyed talking with you.
Anyhow, I was thinking of trying to write up a profile of a repeat LT hiker (Snowman), trail maintainer and all around trail angel. He has hiked the LT 10 times and I got to wondering if that is any kind of a record - which of course would be a great hook for the profile. I asked about records on the longtrailhiking.info and Vegematic mentioned you - others have mentioned Robert Northrup. Have you or anyone you know of hiked the LT 10 times or more? Any suggestions on where else to look and who to ask?
I hope things are well with you and you are enjoying being a mom.
