The local news reports a middle aged hiker was found dead on the twinway (between galehead hut and South Twin). He apparently had been out since Monday and had used his cell phone to at least once to check in and let people know that he was going to be out yesterday. When he didnt appear, rescue was called. Not a lot of other details at this time.
Probably best not to comment until more details are known, but at a minimum it must have been an incredible rescue effort considering the current weather.
