Today I tried to drive up the East Branch Road to climb Cupsuptic Snow, but looking back over maps and satellite images, I think the East Branch Road wasn't plowed all the way, while a right fork about a half mile from the beginning was plowed, and I went on up that about two miles, parked, and walked the rest of the way up the road (maybe a half mile). Then I bushwhacked north to what I thought was Cupsuptic Snow, which was very easy going, with a number of skid trails to follow a good part of the way up. I didn't sink very much on snowshoes - perfect conditions. At the top there was a jar tied to a branch, which I couldn't get open. The top wasn't as dense as I remember from Snow Mt 10 years ago. So probably this was Twin Mt. A very pretty mountain, albeit without views.
