Though this report may be moot in a day or two, hopefully the track will be visible after the snow coming...at Cog base there was plenty of parking and when we returned it was pretty full...thanks to someone who had layed a snowshoe track yesterday, we 2 followed this most of the way..we got an early start and over the course of the day at least 24 hikers were up there, a few microspikers the rest snowshoes..the snow was powdery after Gem Pool and kind of slippery especially on descent (unintentional butt sliding)...ice fogg never lifted and we thank the 4 ahead of us for laying the track up to the summit...met a few friendly folks on the grid misson and Pemi the canine and a large group of accomplished hikers...all water crossings snow bridged...no ice to speak of up high, it is covered with snow...all hikers today were very friendly and we had very many interesting conversations...!!
