A few more ski questions

Good stuff here. I don't use my Karhu/Silvretta gear for downhill ski-ing - strictly backcountry with skins (buckle-on, 1970's - era US Army surplus). I shipped my G3 Barons with Dynafit bindings and boots to my daughter who lives in British Columbia. Downhill ski-ing is over for me due to neck trauma (30 years of rugby). AT gear works for just about everything in the backcountry due to the use of mounainteering boots - I use Scarpa Invernos. I guess it depends on the intended use (of course).
