date: 3/27/14
trails: red hill trail
conditions: trailhead on red hill road had good plowed parking. the initial bit of trail was snowmobile travelled then once off the snowmobile trail there was a solid snowshoe/boot track all the way to the summit. shortly before the summit a snowmobile track rejoined the hiking trail to the top.
equipment: i did wear snowshoes, but could have gotten away with light traction early in the day anyway.
comments: very nice hike. had been meaning to hike this peak for a while and given the clear skies today it seemed like a good choice for the morning. really great views from the firetower and points around the summit though quite cold and windy up on the platform.
