Usually I like to post a TR after each trip but "life" seems to be eating up alot of time recently so here is a quick recap and some photos for those of you that have time to browse.

Mt Carrigain 3-1-14

I hiked this one with Marlie and maddmattd on a chilly morning that turned into a nice day. Up and back on Sawyer River Rd and Signal Ridge Tr. The trails were well pack thanks to those who broke it out the weeks prior. We wore snowshoes for all but the last 3.5 miles on the way out.

South & North Hancock 3-23-14

I hiked this one with just Marlie, expecting to see little traffic as winter had just ended the week before. It was snowing steadily but I was delighted to find the trail nicely packed but soon caught up the the two that had done it. The camped ou the night before and were only heading to South Hancock. After the split (North Link was not broken out since the last snow) I headed up to South Hancock as planned and soon met the two breaking trail. The snow was about 12 +- inches deep and it was one step forward and half a step back the whole way. We took turns, even Marlie, breaking trail and soon reached the summit. Two other solo hikers followed us up and the three of us continued to break out the loop. At North Hancock the skies cleared and the views were quite nice. :D
