Parked at trailhead on Rt. 16, plenty of room.

Trail: Imp Trail (north branch): still pretty well frozen around 1030 this AM, enough I was able to use Hillsound Pro Light Crampons up and back....couple of big blowdowns, one near power line crossing and other after water crossing....a little softer coming back down, especially on the hardwood plateau...evidence of postholing but not many...monorail in spots, otherwise flat, chewed up a little from melting action...above the viewpoint appeared to have one old snowshoe track and the trail was very soft, towards N Carter Trail jct..the major water crossing was still frozen completely with water rushing underneath of course...who knows how long this will last!! Get on the trail early it might be good a few more days....! Presidentials still in mid winter viewing condition!!!
