Route: Ammonoosuc Ravine, Crawford Path, summit loops

Trail Conditions: plenty of snow left below treeline. Mixed snow/ice/bare rock above treeline. We had warm temps and so generally easy to dig in on steep slopes.

Special Equipment Required: we all wore traction (three of us used microspikes or hillsounds, one used crampons) from the Cog Base to the summit of Monroe. We barebooted the rest of the way.

We carried snowshoes but never needed them.

The small steep snowfield on Monroe might require crampons in colder temps.

Great day to be out!
