Airline dry to 2500' and then areas of mud here and there (avoidable). There's a herd path shortcut from Gulfside to the first cairn on Mt. Adams summit cone (located shortly after the Airline/Gulfside junction). It's not official and not recommended but clearly a well established path that avoids that first set of summit-rock hopping.

Valley Way had the usual wet areas higher up.

No special equipment needed.

Wind was minimal and the summit was fogged in at times but if you waited a few minutes you got spectacular views (though a bit hazy). Bugs at the summit and the hut but not on the trails. The trails were crowded - saw cotton and sandals at the summit. And several who'd dropped their packs (water too) at the hut to tag the summit. (not judging, just sayin')
