14 climbers have died on Mont Blanc this month alone.

Wow, pretty tough times up there! I climbed Mont Blanc about 10 years ago, via the "easy" route, which was hard enough. At that time there was lots of talk about the glacier melting, (global warming) which contributed to rockfall at certain points (and which had led to some fatalities from rocks). It sounds like these people were doing something harder, maybe not super technical.
