For those who are interested the 'bridge' across the beaver pond that flooded the Guinea Pond Trail washed out some time before last year. However one can still get around the bog easily. From the northeast (heading toward Sandwich notch road) one goes further to the right and the where pond/bog/swamp inlet shrinks to a small brook dribbling water from an upper swamp. There is a small falls here were solid footing and some rocks get you across the water. Once on the other side turn left and head back to the trail where the bridge used to be. Going northeast (from Sandwich notch road) do the opposite. Head into the woods on your left just before the point where the trail would have met the bridge. The crossing where the inlet narrows to a crossable brook is easier to find going this way. Once on the other side, again head right back to the trail. However one needs to move further into the woods this time to avoid muddy and wet sections.

Funny no good signs of a 'herd' path are seen. Maybe there is a way across all the fallen logs (though we did not try that).
