Date of Hike: 8/14
Trail Conditions: After Wednesday's rain, some mud but not too bad considering. Brook crossing at trail junction in the col was high but manageable.
Special Equipment Required: wind wear and an extra layer was nice to have. Temps are expected to rebound this week some. Temp was near 50 with a brisk wind but not as bad as Big Slide on Tuesday.
Comments: Optional - First time to Noonmark, great views including being able to see Rainbow Falls from the distance. Marcy and the highest peaks were topped by clouds but Gothics was in the open. 1200+ feet of climbing in one mile and some of it was pretty flat, when it was steep it was pretty steep. Saw a Loon and Beavers at Round Pond.
