Route: Out and Back via Deerfield Ridge Trail, .3 mile out to spur trail to Haystack summit

Ridge trail is fairly grown in but navigation is not an issue. Trail to Haystack Mt summit is in fine shape.

Trail between Haystack Mtn summit and Haystack ski area is mostly fine. There are a few pretty muddy spots with a somewhat obvious trail around them, one of them is just before you hit the USFS boundary with the Wilmington Reservoir.

Trail between Haystack ski area and mt Snow is a bit more overgrown and obviously not used much. There is a huge bog about 1/3 mile before you hit the Big Dipper ski trail at Mt Snow. Poles were very very helpful and I had to go off trail to find a semi dry route. Think of the Couchsachraga swamp but add about 3-4" of grass on top of it so you have no idea if youre going to sink to your thighs or squish 2inches!!!

Once you hit Mt Snow, the route is fairly obvious, just turn left to go uphill and follow signs for the summit lodge, going past the Microwave tower and a few lifts.
