I love hiking at night.
I love hiking above tree line by the light of the moon.
I love gazing at the stars.
I hiked as a child then stopped for a long, long time. Some of my best memories are from that time in my life. Now I hike whenever I can. Often solo. At night.
When I heard this song, I was hooked. It is me all over. Now it is stuck. Perhaps if I post it here, it will let me move on.

Lyrics (by Black Gryph0n):
“Where the wind stands still,
There's an emerald hill,
And I'm standing here alone.
Where the dark trees bow
To the higher ground,
Where the grass has never grown.

Where it's dark, and cold
And the scattered stars are the only friends that I know,
But they tell me that I'm home.

And so I'm standing out in the Moonlight,
And if you follow me I'll follow you
Standing out in the Moonlight,
And if you follow me I'll follow you.
I'll follow you.

It's been a long long time
Since the stars aligned
And they sent me back again.
And everyday I dream
Maybe things could be
Like they used to be back then.

'Cause it's dark, and cold
And these scattered stars are the only friends, I know,
But they tell me that there's hope.

And so I'm standing out in the Moonlight,
And if you follow me I'll follow you
Standing out in the Moonlight,
And if you follow me I'll follow you.
I'll follow you.

Shouting out in the Moonlight,
And if you follow me I'll follow you
Shouting out in the Moonlight,
And if you follow me I'll follow you.
I'll follow you.
And you know I'll always follow you.
I'll follow you.”

I have no reason to believe that the song has anything to do with hiking.
Bonus points if you know who it is about without looking it up.
Extra bonus points if you look it up, give it a listen, and like it anyway.
I know this is the interwebs, but minus a gazillion points if you be hating. Too much hate out there already.

Unclear if I am required to ask a question to make the post valid, so just in case;
Do you have a song that nibbles at the very core of your hiking existence?
