Date of Hike: September 19th
Trails: Hunt Trail
Trail Conditions: Trail is in great shape. It's that time of year again where morning ice and frost or in some spots on the boulders below and above treeline. A lot of this trail is above treeline (2.5 miles) and the wind can be brutal if at higher speeds. There is some minor scrambling involved in a few spots.
Comments: The parking for this trail is at Katahdin Streams Campground in Baxter State Park. FYI, the park will be closing on October 17th or there about IIRC. Excellent hike, went up to join in for my friend, Whitney 'Tip-Toe' A.T. Thru-Hike finish. It was an incredible day with phenomenal views. I am so happy and proud of her, and grateful I was there to join in for the final five miles. Congrats, Whitney! Report / Pictures
