Trails: Hancock Notch Trail, Cedar Brook Trail, Arrow Slide, Northwest Ridge Bushwhack, Cedar Brook Slide

Trail Conditions: The Hancock Notch Trail has had some trail work done to it and is in very good shape. The Cedar Brook Trail water crossings were running low. There is a herd path to avoid two of these crossings when the water is high. The slides are steep and both have some very lose talus in places so use caution. The bushwhacks were thick in spots, no defined herd path except maybe a few hundred feet leaving the Hancock Loop Trail and the last tenth of a mile to the Northwest Hancock summit. There are remnants of old haul/skidder roads you can hook onto when dropping off the ridge to the Cedar Slide.

Comments: Excellent day to explore some really steep and cool slides. The Cedar Brook Slide is the bomb with awesome views! Great company with Tim and Whitney. Thanks Tim for navigating us through the bushwhacks! Report / Pictures
