Well, it was everything it was cracked up to be, but less. There is no longer a cairn marking the start of the trail off of the ski trail but it was still pretty easy to find, its the closest side trail from the summit. It was covered very well with leaves but it was still pretty obvious. Where the trail turns sharp left it is obvious where to turn right....stay a little to the left of the "path" because the path takes you right to a tiny ledge. But the herd path picks back up from there! Take care to go straight up the ridge and watch for the herd paths as they come and go! lots of dead trees on the ground, lots of moss and moosh!! As the terrain starts to get steep on the last 2/10's or so if you stay just to the right of center the spruce isn't quite as thick (came down in the thick towards the left, there are paths but its not necessary)! Once on top it took a few moments to find the canister but it is all paths up there so just keep looking (we had to head to the left) and you will find it! It was easy to open, contrary to reports, and I was never so proud to sign into a canister!! Believe it or not very near to the top we heard voices and called out, we were passing two people leaving the top (of course we couldn't see them and never did because of the thick spruce), they had gotten there minutes before us but we never saw them the entire bushwhack!! Like I said we stayed a little more to the right on the way out and ran directly into thick spruce and it was awful!! We found our way back to heard paths hooking to the right, which was the correct direction to head back, although it didn't feel like it! So take care on the way back to head in the correct direction! Take care!!
