Trail conditions: dusting of snow to 2-3" of packed snow, snow and hidden ice on the spur to the summit. Real cold is here! All water crossing easy to step across.
Special Equipment: used poles for extra balance, barebooted until the last .2 to the top, used microspikes, light traction was necessary.
Parking: Gale loop road open with packed snow, that could change soon. Busy day on the trail parking lot full.
