Snow is frozen rock solid now. I'd hold off on microspikes til you get up to the ski trail split due to some rocky and muddy bare ground. There's a nice snowshoe trench the whole way to isolation. Microspikes were fine car to car including the whack. Standing water is freezing solid but today's hike required a lot of small jumps over open holes, made for a nice bonus workout and a fast hike. The Bushwack starts at the usual spot and trends up slightly before switchbacking down to the trail. Thanks to those that broke it out, much appreciated! There's a couple of small blowdowns as you approach the campsite and a couple on the ridge on Davis path but nothing bad. Chilly, breezy day even in the woods today.
