Did a north to south traverse. We wore microspikes from the car at the end of Little River Rd (fresh tracks continued beyond FWT). FWT a bit choppy from being broken out by Barebooters but was happy to have it broken out. Lend a hand very firm and boney, not as fast as it could have been. Twinway to Zeacliff was a highway as expected but needed snowshoes starting at Zeacliff due to heavy drifting. Some trail breaking through drifts to Zealand and guyot. Deep powder for the climb up to the w bond spur. Easy work from there to the 3 bonds. Descending bondcliff the trail was annoyingly boney with a few inches of powder on a firm crust with rocks and roots still showing (only down low, up high it was a delight descending on soft powder). We switched to barebooting down at the wilderness trail. Trail was a runnable highway beginning at the bridge. Thanks to Dan and the other person that broke trail yesterday, it saved us at least an hr or two. Great fast hike with Cory as he finished his W48, always a blast! Also so much for the sunny forecast, it snowed for the better part of the day up high!!
