Liberty & Flume via Bike Trail, Liberty Springs Tr., and Franconia Ridge Trial - 1/24
Parked at the Basin. Trail is a little choppy in spots down low. Some solid ice spots required care, but were microspikeable. Snow is a little heavier up high with a couple of fresh inches on the Franconia Ridge trail.
Work microspikes until the col between Liberty and Flume. Switched to snowshoes because the rest of the group did and kept them on until just below Liberty Springs campsite. Spikes would probably have been ok for the whole trip though. Trails were a little fluffy up high, but are pretty well consolidated now.
Nice day to be out. The storm didn't make it that far north. ##s 31-32, 2/3 of the way there.
