With today being the clear pick of the week weatherwise, Kibo and I decided to break out the Hancocks via Hancock Notch, Cedar Brook, and Hancock Loop Trails.
Not much new snow or drifting down low but wore snowshoes car to car. Went Counter-clockwise and ran into first significant drifts headed up the steeps to South peak. Found moderate drifting on the ridge in the usual places, only occasionally knee or waist deep.
The new snow is not sticking to the icy luge run that is the branch of the Loop Trail going up to the North peak. If I were to go down it again tomorrow, I would wear crampons for that section.
A great day on the trail with sunny skies overhead and low/no wind!
