Date of Hike: Saturday, February 21st

Trails: Sawyer River Road, Signal Ridge Trail

Special Equipment: Light traction, snowshoes, poles would have helped when breaking trail up through the steep narrow sections for balance and stability

Trail Conditions / Comments: Parking is at the end of Sawyer River Road in Winter. Sawyer River Road is a highway and can be barebooted, light traction, or snowshoed depending on your preference. There were about ten other hikers out so the trail was well packed down. Light fluffy snow accumulated over night after the hike but there should be a real solid track underneath what fell over Saturday night. Also, everyone yesterday used the old part of the trail at the beaver pond and not the reroute so that saves a few tenths of a mile each way. Great hike, fun trail breaking, killer views from Signal Ridge :) Report / Pictures
