Date of Hike: March 7, 2015

Trail Conditions: Trail was mostly a 1 inch thick solid upper crust with 4 to 5 feet of very loose snow under it. Upper crust broke very easily. Some ice on very steep sections.

Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes - essential, Crampons - useful, Micro-Spikes - essential

Comments: The first ledge was snow covered and was down to a 6 inch width of snow. Took the bush whack to the right to avoid the ledge. There was multiple sections of climbing up a 60 to 70 degree slope that will not support an average mans weight. Had to climb on all 4's to get past several sections. Snowshoes would not support weight very well on a flat surface either. Multiple downed trees. Ended up taking the Wildcat ski slope down.
