Intended to hike some trails off of Deer Hill Rd., but it is still gated for winter. So I tried to hike some trails on Deer Hill from Baldface Circle trailhead parking, but found that the center span of the concrete dam/bridge hasn't been put back yet ... one can easily step across the sluiceways until confronted at the center by an open torrent of roaring meltwater requiring an eight foot leap. Not a chance. So I redlined the Conant Path and then drove up to the Stone House trailhead. There are several soft and muddy sections on the access road, a couple spots are deeply rutted and quite difficult to navigate in a low-clearance car. Hiked the White Cairn / Stone House trail loop over Blueberry Mtn.; dry with the exception of a few isolated snow islands that began around 1800 feet. Rattlesnake Falls/pool and the Gorge are awesome with the water running high. Quite a few hikers out.
