Beautiful day on the top of Southern Maine. Went up the Southwest Ridge Trail to the SW Summit, then main summit and then over to Bald Peak. A traverse but by retracing my steps back to my vehicle.
Trails all dry. There are still some snow pockets in the saddle between the SW and main summits. Nothing you can't just walk through. Several blowdowns on the Bald Peak Trail and North Ridge Trail.
The plan was to do the loop of North Ridge, Sue's Way, Bald Peak trails. But I got to the summit of Bald Peak and the trail disappeared. Could not find any markings for Sue's Way. So I turned around there.
Great day to be on the trails. Saw a couple of black flies though.
