Aside from some large mud puddles early on (particularly in the parking area and at the beginning of the grassy road), the woods were dry and with surprisingly few bugs.

Special equipment needed: Compass or GPS and eyewear.

From the parking area we hopped over what appears to be remnants of recent logging activities - lots of slash and churned up earth for 50' or so - to reach the grassy roads and herd path to White Cap. We then descended back to 3200' where there is a well defined path to North Kennebago Divide, described by Damselfly, but lost this path early on and had to bushwhack for longer than anticipated, until we found it again.

Nice hike with a great group today which included D and D!
