Trails: Hunters Pass Trail #119, Slide Brook herd path, Maccomb Slide, herd path along Dix Range, Beckhorn Trail #120

Trail Conditions: The first mile of the Hunters Pass Trail from the trailhead was pretty muddy with big puddles, some spots are really nasty. It gets better as the trail approaches the Slide Brook. The herd path to the Maccomb Slide is in great shape. The Macomb Slide is a mixture of loose rock and boulders, gravel and dirt, and slab taking over higher up. Not too steep and a lot of fun to hike up, just be careful not to dislodged the boulders as it's a 'moving slide.' The path between all summits along the ridge is easy to follow, it's narrow in spots but overall not too bad, the footing is rough in spots but again in pretty decent shape. Beckhorn Trail has a steep descent down off of the ridge over ledges, follow the yellow blazes for easiest route, there is a bypass around the steepest ledge.

Comments: Great hike with my friend Diaz who is working on his 46. We had awesome weather and phenomenal views! Report / Pictures
