Date of Hike: Saturday, June 27th
Trails: Zander Scott Trail, East Trail (Route 73 to Route 9)
Trail Conditions: The only thing worth mentioning is the descent from Giant Mountain to the Giant / Rocky Peak Ridge Col. It's steep, muddy, rooty, basically the footing is really bad. Other than that Zander Scott Trail up to Giant Mountain is in pretty good shape. The East Trail from Giant all the way to New Russia is in great shape except for the section I just mentioned and another section descending into Dickerson Notch east of Rocky Peak, it's steep and eroded with roots, mud, and loose rocks.
Comments: One of the gems of the ADK's, the Rocky Peak Ridge Traverse. The weather was great and the views were even greater. Blueberries on Blueberry Cobble were tasty! Thanks to my friend Diaz for a fine hike and congrats on being have way through your 46 High Peaks! Report / Pictures
