The ATV industry is growing exponentially in northern NH (north of RT 2) and the biggest event is the Jericho State Park ATV festival next weekend. The areas accommodations are booked solid and visitors are being referred to tourist areas to the south. From a hiking point of view, this is not a great weekend for hiking Mt Cabot and of the trails off of Success Pond road. ATVs are banned in Randolph so the RMC trail system should be fine as well as any other trails south of RT 2. I expect that campgrounds anywhere in the area will be booked solid.

If you do drive through the area, traffic will be slow and ATVs are allowed on many of the main roads and side streets. Many ATVs do not have directional signals and their lighting can be marginal. They also can be running after dark on the streets

The events are centered at the ATV park off of Rt 110. There is a constant stream of ATV traffic along RT110 between the park and downtown Berlin with heavy traffic prior and after events. There is also significant ATV traffic on the main street in Gorham as all the majority of guest services are in Gorham. Fish and Game is generally quite busy dealing with accidents and issues that inevitably arise at the event.
