Sat. August 15 - Trailwrights on Dan Doan Trail, Orford, NH

Trailwrights will be leading and working with the adopters of the Dan Doan Trail making improvements to the treadway in a couple of locations. This trail was once the route of the AT, and was named in honor of Dan Doan in 1993 to recognize his contribution to hiking in the White Mountains. Dan wrote several hiking-related books, including the ever-popular "50 Hikes in the White Mountains". Meet at 8:30 at the jct of NH Rt. 25A and the Quintown Rd. in Orfordville, 10 miles west of Wentworth Jct of NH Rt.25 and 25A. Bring gloves, sturdy boots, water, lunch etc. Tools provided. As always, no experience required.
