Trail Conditions: Damp as it had been raining overnight the prior night. Curious if the Wales- Carter re-route of the Gorge Brook trail is any longer than what the 29th WMG has for mileage.

Special Equipment Required: I started in the early afternoon and managed to avoid all but a light brief shower. A raincoat and headlamp were good to have in case I was slower than I had planned.

Comments: the best way to the Gorge Brook and Snapper Trails is down the first road to the Ravine Lodge as construction on the new buildings has the trail closed at the end of the circle that brings you down to the bridge over the river. Met Summerset on the top as she is thru-hiking. Stayed Wednesday night at the Notch Hostel with Sarenna and Justin. Hostel is in great shape, very neat and clean too. Next time I need a place to stay in the Woodstock area, I'll be staying there again.
