Trail very dry, falls at a trickle. Uprooted tree leaning over the trail at the junction of Champney Falls Cutoff, easily negotiated. Some serious erosion in places, typical for such a popular trail in the area.

Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses needed today.

USFS rangers were at the trailhead making sure visitors paid the fee, parked responsibly and knew the ten essentials. Very crowded hike but fun - lots of visitors to our state, a good thing. When hiking the popular trails it stands to reason that it will be crowded on beautiful weekends. Everyone was respectful of the area. http://summithikinginnewengland.blogspot.com/2015/08/mt-chocorua-via-champney-falls-trail.html
