I hiked Carrigain today via Signal Ridge Trail. Snow depth down load was somewhere around 4 inches or so and hard packed on the trail.
Further up, the snow got deeper and for the most part, the trail remain well packed with very few exceptions. Not much ice to speak of and nothing to worry about. River crossing was easy and I just threw on my Microspikes when I left the parking area and kept them on till the end of the hike. Probably could have done with out them but they did make the hike easier - very steep in sections
