April 18, 2016. Trail was clear and dry nearly as far as the last stream crossing, at which point ice patches began. The stream crossings were all very manageable. Above the last crossing, traction is strongly recommended all the way to the summit although a number of people ventured a fair distance by rock hopping and tree grabbing before turning around. Micro spikes or Hillsounds were sufficient as ice was wet and soft for the most part.

Special equipment: other than traction, I always use poles, especially for descents, but not required.
