Encountered two large black bears at lower end of Mount Washington Road. They could easily be on the South Taconic. Video link posted in Connecticut Section

Black flies/mosquitoes- none on trail. One or two black flies on the windless summit of Mt Alander.

Water faucet is on, porta potty in Mt Washington HQ parking lot.

Also toilets and water available at Rudd Pond and Bish Bash.

No other remarkable trail conditions.
