I'm working on the 52WAV list and would like to do 4 peaks in one hike (Eastman, N/S Baldface, Eagle Crag), but the weight of my medicare card slows me down and I'd like (ideally) to camp between the Baldfaces and finish the next day.

Any experience or thoughts on doing this. Is it legal/practical?

Thanks.

I don't really remember any practical place to camp between the bald faces. If you hike up up Slippery brook trail, there are a lot of potential overnights camp sites in the woods, prior to the summits. If I recall, there is no camping above tree line in the White Mountains, but the Bald Faces may be outside the boundaries of the WMNF. Try a short day, hike Eastman and then do the bald faces and eagle crag.

Near the the junction of Slippery Brook Trail and Eastman Mountain Trail, there are some "pre-used" spots. South Baldface has a shelter and a couple (one?) tentsites at the base of the ledges. I believe all of those peaks are within the WMNF.
