Thoreau falls, hiked on 5 23 16
came in from Zealand rd and parked at Zealand trail head. lots of parking available. hiked in on Zealand trail, ethan pond trail and Thoreau falls trail. rt 9 miles. elevation gain aprox 350 feet. very little mud, a couple of rock hops, no bugs, no blowdowns. all bridges and trail in great shape. leaves are just starting to bud out. trillium, hobble and juneberry is all flowering. excellent easy hike. water was flowing great at the falls for this time of year. perfect time to catch it.
