Mostly excellent, dry until the last 0.7 mile, and then a couple places are wet, requiring care during descending. However there seem to be trails in the woods to bypass tricky bits, and the tricky bits are short and not very numerous.
No bugs on the way up or down, but black flies were at the top. No wind when we were up top. I applied Deet and they stopped bugging me.
Loads of people on this most beautiful day.
We haven't done Giant in the summer for years. It's a very nice trail, a worthwhile hike to do.
