Location
White Mountains
Date of Hike: Saturday, July 18th

Trails: Rooster Comb, W.A. White, ADK Range, State Range, Haystack, Phelps

Trail Conditions: Probably the best I have ever seen up there, mud was minimal and mostly everything was really dry making for excellent footing for the steeper sections. There was a good water source about a minute up from the Basin / Haystack col, much better than the one at the col so if coming from Basin wait for the second source. One thing of note, at the junction with the trail to Haystack (which leads left and up) there is no signage for the trail over to Marcy (which heads right) so if you've never been just a heads up about that. Phelps Trail from the State Range Trail Junction down to Slant Rock has some eroded and crummy muddy spots, there are a few heard paths starting to form off in the woods around a few spots, we just stayed on the trail in the mud with the bugs and the rocks.

Comments: Thanks Kyle for a helluva day out, starting with a midnight Presi Traverse in NH and ending with an afternoon and early night Great Range Traverse. Couldn't have had any better luck with the weather, traffic for the drive from NY to NH, and tame trail conditions. Incredible views all day, Report / Pictures
