I did this short hike on 8/22/16, late in the afternoon after the skies cleared following an overnight squall. The trail is in excellent shape and I believe the trail maintainer posts here. Nice work. It took me an hour and fifteen minutes to ascend the 1.8 miles and 1300 feet of elevation and just 45 minutes to descend. The reward is in the fine views to the south and east from the open ledges on the summit. At 2557' this peak, aka Indian Head, is on the 52WAV list and makes for a nice short hike that involves some climbing. I sometimes fail to see these rock profiles when other people perceive them, but the Indian face seems pretty obvious when viewed from the lower notch near the resort bearing the same name (Indian Head). With the Old Man gone, its nice to have this one still present.
