We celebrated Owen H's 12th birthday with his first hike of Mt Katahdin, and a beautiful day it was. We adjusted our original plan to do both Hamlin and Baxter Peaks when it became clear we didn't have time to do both. So, Baxter Peak it was, up and down via the Chimney Pond and Saddle Trails.
