Date of Hike: 10/10/2016
Trail Conditions: Windy and 42 degrees at base, and easy going while below tree line on what's a well traveled and maintained trail. Above tree line, moderate rime ice with good footing, low visibilty, and sustained winds of 50 mph+. Rime was breaking off in the wind and hitting us like bullets. Had hoped to loop over to Lafayette but conditions were prohibitive.
Special Equipment Required: Layers, and full winter gear for above treeline.
Comments: Waterfalls were pretty with the recent rain. Enjoyed a snack at shining rock, which was covered in ice. Good luck to the guy in *shorts*, winter jacket and hat who was attempting to walk the ridgeline under these conditions!
Your name: Toni, Brittany, and Angie
