Official Backcountry Camping In NH

I have a friend interested in overnight backpacking and she had asked me several questions about various sites in NH such as Franconia Brook, Liberty and others. I really don't do much overnight backpacking and never stay at official sites when I do so I am really not up to speed at all on the resources available for these areas. Is there a website of any sort that has compiled a list of all these backcountry sites, lean to's and tent platforms and has a fee schedule for use, number of available "units" at the site, whether it is first-come/first served, etc, etc? If anyone can point me in the direction of some good resources for this it would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Forest Service seems to rearrange its website every couple of years, to ensure that you can't give somebody a URL that will actually work for long.
