Far fewer summer people (or people in general) in this area then the NP route. Much of the land is in unorganized townships which are easier to permit projects through. Most hikers go up there check off their lists and go home so not much base for opposition as compared to NH There is sketchy anti wind group, Friends of the Maine Mountains, that makes their living off opposing projects that I expect will adopt the cause as a revenue source. http://www.pressherald.com/2015/05/...icts-swirls-within-maine-anti-wind-nonprofit/

That Mass clean power RFP has really brought the projects out of the woodwork.
