I saw a poster in Lincoln yesterday for an upcoming fundraiser for the National Forest Foundation (NFF) that sounds like Seek the Peek coming up. This is the first time I heard of NFF and activities in the WMNF. Anyone have any real info other than their PR https://www.nationalforests.org/who...organizing-sumit-for-the-forest-hiking-event?
It looks like there is new player trying to use the WMNF for fundraising. Since are they affiliated with the national forest I am curious if they need special permits as generally the WMNF frowns on fundraising events if the forest. Seek the Peak skirts this by ending on top of Washington on state land and using the autoroad facility for a base.
Given that these are guided hikes I would envision a potentially large group on each trail.
