1st 2/3 of trail: excellent conditions. I was wondering why the DEC was mentioning mud and water. Last 1/3 was muddy in places, watery in places, but nothing extreme, very easily handled. Only 1 part had steep, wet rock and needed care on the descent.

Bugs: some teeny, tiny black bugs at the top. They didn't seem to bite, and were a tad annoying. Not enough to keep us from spending an hour up there.

New privy that, unless I missed something, seems to not be placed very well. It's on a downward slant, so the top doesn't stay open. Not too interesting like that.

Yellow trail paint quite faded in many places. I noticed the trail paint on Noonmark also faded when I was there 1 month ago.

Fabulous day, perfect weather.
