This is from an article this morning in the Union Leader about a rescue last night (10/18 into 10/19) on the Avalon trail, due to an injured ankle.
Anyone know what happened in the notch?

“Due to a hiker death in Franconia Notch, this rescue had a skeleton crew for the carry out and they carried to the early hours of the morning getting out at 3 a.m.,” Fish and Game said.

I saw a post on FB about the woman on Avalon. Apparently, she later posted that she "Knocked off" two more peaks. Then was the recipient of a FB barrage scolding her for counting the peaks after being carried off. Welcome to social media, you can run, but you cant hide.
