Route
Coppermine Trail (out and back)

Conditions
Coppermine Trail: Trail is in great shape. Only one old step-over left (it was a duck under years ago). A couple damp spots but pretty much dry. Some ice after crossing the bridge below the shelter, and more ice above the shelter. Crossing above the shelter was frozen pretty solid around the rocks.

Special Equipment
Light traction helpful. Leash for dogs as the first third/half mile follows a narrow and private dirt road that sees traffic and some of the houses have dogs.

Comments
Visiting some friends in the area and decided to go for a small hike. This is a fine 5 mile trip with a really nice waterfall at the end. Ran into a couple of guys gathering wood preparing to camp at the shelter, and another gentleman camping lower down along the brook. This is a good area to to test out gear as it's a nice walk in with plenty of good spots low down and the shelter a bit higher up.
